The Social Network Bebo has been put on notice by owner AOL that it either plans to sell the network to the highest bidder or shut it down. AOL said that it was "unable to provide the significant investment Bebo" needed to compete with Facebook and its social networking rivals.
Bebo has been losing market share, particulary in the United States, where its user base of 5.1 million users is outshadowed by 210 million Facebook users.
