The Rt Hon Ruth Kelly MP, Secretary of State for Transport has published a consultation paper targeted at improving the training and testing of new drivers.
The Driving Standards Agency (DSA) sets the driving standards and controls the driving test for everyone in Great Britain.
Although standards in the UK are good, the death toll on our roads involving new drivers is unacceptably high.
Changes to the way we learn to drive are needed to produce safer more aware drivers for the future.
headland has worked alongside Victoria Creative to produce the Learning to Drive microsite which supports the Government's consultation process. The site which seeks to engage new drivers, offers PDF downloads, short form video clips, a public forum, plus links to online surveys, Web 2.0 communities and public events.
The consultation which concludes in September 2008 will form part of the Government's recommendations on how they can improve the current driving test, education and laws in the UK.
