Google has taken its popular website analytics package Google Analytics a step further by now offering enterprise class, professional analytics features to its free users. On 10th November 2008, the search giant rolled out the latest additions of the analytics package. Google Analytics has been a widely used free analytics solution preferred by many professional webmasters. However, until now it had lacked the more complex features and benefits offered by commercial analytics packages.
Tracking conversions, goals and e-commerce objectives can be a more complex undertaking than what standard, conventional analytics solutions tend to support. The new Google Analytics offers new features such as Custom Reports, Advanced Segmentation, and a first in the industry: Motion Reports. Motion Reports are what the webmaster and SEO community is abuzz with these days. They represent a new visualisation of analytics data, whereby data can be analysed in up to five dimensions instead of the conventional two. This means that obscure, previously unspotted trends can now be identified and replicated in order to increase relevant traffic to the website.
