Picture desk promoting programme content worldwide

The ITV online picture desk ITVpictures.com we created has increased the monthly download of promotional pictures four fold. The site, a business to business service providing international commercial media with publicity images from a wide range of ITV programmes and events under copyright has seen an expediential increase in image downloads.

The site is a combination of the Ektron 400.net CMS platform and Headland bespoke development providing the image upload/download and database search functionality.

The ITVpictures.com site traffic is set for another bumper year X Factor, Britains Got Talent, Ant & Dec’s Push The Button and original drama series as well as international programming sales hitting screens throughout the UK and internationally.

Entertainment One

Accessing great TV and Film content
Entertainment One is a leading international content and distribution company. The Brand Box is Entertainment One UK’s digital asset management site. It is designed to make life easier for the businesses retail customers and journalists by enabling quick and easy access of supporting information – from synopsis’ to packshots and copyright lines – for all of Entertainment One UK’s most requested DVD releases. Brand Box also contains CHE’s monthly sales brochure detailing the latest additions to their portfolio, a full catalogue listing and a selection of PR releases from the last 12 months with supporting imagery.
There are promotional clips from the Twilight movies, publicity stills from Ashes to Ashes, and 2D sleeves, 3D sleeves, synopses and release schedules for kids programmes like Peppa Pig and Tractor Tom. The digital asset management system, allows Entertainment One to control the upload and management of all publicity materials and video clips from a centralised asset database.

National Geographic TV International

National Geographic Television International's in-flight website takes off

The Headland designed website provides first class functionality for National Geographic Television International's in-flight programme sales business. This site has been specifically created to service the needs of the businesses in-flight clients and provides partners with a comprehensive, secure members lounge. The Programme Catalogue provides information on 2000+ titles available for licence across genres ranging from wildlife, science and environment through to travel & adventure, current affairs & society, civilisations & history and kids. Partners can search by specific genres, programme lengths or individual topics and save titles to the 'My Selections' short list. The website upgrade takes the businesses inflight services to new heights.

Martin Codd

Website design rich with Flash video.

Film director Martin Codd chose Headland to showcase his award-winning films for bluechip clients Aston Martin, Guinness, Rolex and Coca-Cola.

Designed and built by Headland Leeds, the site shows the latest versions of online communication at the ‘high-end’ using film and video technologies. Martin has several years experience writing and directing for blue chip companies.

These films require high impact with a strong visual sense and acute attention to detail. Used primarily at major events and within exhibition and launch environments, Martin’s clients include Land Rover, Unilever, Rolls-Royce, Burberry and many more.

The site focuses on Martins films. Content is king.

EM Media

Public arts website design & build

We were appointed to deliver their online rebrand. EM Media’s Headland's built Content Management System was the technical platform for the site design. EM-Media staff use the CMS for creating and posting regular news bulletins. News items are archived within a document download area which also provides access to media funding, training resources and application forms. The site features rolling advertising banners that are updateable within the CMS. Other features include a Flash-video showreel showcasing the best of EM-Media's filmmaking investments. Sponsored links from partner organisations are also supported in the navigation panels, all editable via the CMS. The website also functions as a portal for the regional Film facilities and Location database. The website design and build is compliant with agreed accessibility standards appropriate to the audience and funding model.

Rufford Ceramics Centre

Visitor centre elearning software and DVD for retail

We were briefed by the Rufford Ceramics Centre to create a standout piece of multi-purpose interactive media.

Rufford Craft Centre is in a picturesque location at the heart of the 150 acre Rufford Abbey Country Park. The Craft Centre Gallery which has a long history of high quality exhibitions features selected work drawing from their pool of over 350 makers and ranges from earthen ware to porcelain. Visitors can get involved hands on from our wide range of public workshops which take place in the Creative Learning Centre, which is also the venue for the schools’ education programme.

We were tasked with creating an interactive piece to bring the centre to life for target audiences yet to visit, extracts to provide a touch screen tour for visitors to the centre and a DVD for sale in the gift shop.

National Geographic

TV programming promotion website and intranet design & build

The National Geographic TV International website is an rights management and distribution business wholly owned by National Geographic supporting National Geographic’s broadcaster and producer clients. As such, only these business partners are granted full access.

Headland designed, built and host the content managed site. The new site provides a secure members area for registered programme buyers worldwide to do business with our client. The site now provides access to the complete National Geographic Television catalogue of thousands of hours of the best documentary programming in the world including on demand video of the programmes, as well as enhanced search there is access to a huge document library of images, sounds tracks and scripts.

Headland also provide b2b emarketing support including email newsletters, e-pros and digital assets for television festivals such as MIPCOM in Cannes.

C4

TV programme website design & build

We were briefed to create a site targeted at the core youth audience to support the C4 Saturday morning music slot. Popworld the programme mixed videos from established acts with giving new bands their big break.

The website had to mirror this and as such featured workflow based video upload functionality and battle of the bands style voting. The winning acts getting to appear on the show. The site built on Headlands SiteManager CMS also featured regular news updates on emerging bands and data capture for email alerts and real time charts.

The site was live for the 2 years prior to the show run coming to an end.
