Santander

Rebranding of International finance websites and government payment gateways 

Billpayment is an excellent example of a flexible and secure online payment facility designed, built and maintained for the Santander Group of companies by Headland and adopted by 500 + local authorities and other public sector organisations. Both the site design and back-end systems and automated email communications were designed and developed by Headland.

This service has since been adopted by Cardiff City Council, Sheffield City Council and Glasgow City Council. Security is a major concern for any website, particularly where user management, membership and ecommerce is concerned and script hacking or “SQL Injection” continues to become a problem. Our bespoke elements have no direct access to the database, they utilise Stored Procedures for specific tasks, protecting client databases from malicious attacks through the website’s code. The Billpayment system handles up to £300m of transactions in one week in a secure environment.

HB Markets

Website design, email and search marketing

HB Markets, a stockbroker with a difference, has relaunched its web site to provide a cutting edge service to investors. A service that goes behind simply researching the stockmarket, analysing share news and share prices to encompass a more personal service for clients. HB Markets approached Headland to rebrand, an advanced content management system and innovative thinking on the marketing and promotion of the site.

Headland's approach to the project enabled HB Markets to be able to react to the changing marketplace by developing for them an advanced .net CMS on the Ektron platform and a bespoke email module to deliver up to four different emails on market comments, tips and forecasts at the start of each stock market day.

Alliance & Leicester

Commercial Bank website design & build, online applications, email and search marketing

We have worked with the Alliance & Leicester Commercial Bank marketing team to allow the bank to transform their eCommerce operation within key target markets. Over the past 5 years the online channel has become the focal point of the banks customer acquisition strategy generating 50% of all business banking sales opportunities. The Headland designed website, search and email campaigns have significantly reduced acquisition costs delivering significant onsite conversions. Onlinetools and services on the site are designed to deliver an industry leading user experience. The site is structured to make the communication and application processes simpler, faster and more relevant to each visitor from the first click. The online application process, a first in UK commercial banking, completely redesigned the account opening process, significantly reducing processing times.
