Headland has been working with the West Yorkshire Metro team and their IT partner HCL to extend the transport organisation’s e-commerce platform for tickets and passes. The latest development allows the purchase and replacement of annual blind and disabled passes for corporate and personal customers. The complex design, build and integration has involved back office administration areas for five district councils and local corporates.
The new development further extends the range of tickets and passes that WY Metro offer online. The front-end website is integrated with web services underpinned by a Microsoft Dynamics CRM developed by HCL. Umbraco is the content management system used as the base platform for the front-end, on top of which Headland have developed bespoke code to deliver much of the functionality.
The launch of the new e-commerce offering represents the conclusion of phase three of WY Metro’s move to online fulfilment. As a Leeds-based agency, Headland are delighted to have played our part in supporting the introduction of these services across West Yorkshire.
