30 years in business, wow. Crazy just to think about it. What a ride. It’s a milestone not many agencies achieve. But at Headland we are proud to announce the 28th February sees the completion of our 30th year in business and the 1st March the start of year 31.
1st March 1991 Ken Heptonstall and John Hornby launched a start-up based in Nottingham producing design for print and soon clients such as ITV got on board. On the back of steady growth and the emergence of the commercial internet in February 1998 Headland opened the Leeds office and introduced its first digital team.
Since those early digital days Headland has delivered digital solutions to client challenges applying engaging design to creative technical applications. In the intervening 23 years the business morphed from a conventional agency with a digital team to now generating 100% of its revenue digitally.
We have been blessed with the clients we have worked with and we are proud of the work we have produced on their behalf. Our credentials include bill payment solutions for Santander, the online pictures desk for the ITV press office, Machine Mart ecommerce, the tickets and passes website for Wes Yorkshire Combined Authority and the website telling The Story of Leicester for Leicester city council.
These are just a few of the many and are representative of a body of work created by a talented and committed team. As a team we have witnessed the .com bubble bursting, the financial crash and are now working remotely in the face of the pandemic and the subsequent lockdown. Our client work doesn’t stop.
We look forward to our 31st year in business when normal life will resume to meet our creative and committed “normal service” that has continued throughout.
