Machine Mart adds cross platform, trackable videos to their website.
To give its customers a better understanding of their product range, Machine Mart continue to add more demonstration and promotional media to their website with the inclusion of 40 additional videos. Each video is embedded and viewable directly on the product page and also held separately on a dedicated 'quick find' page so that users and search engines alike can find them more easily, and to increase traffic.
Part of the update required Headland to implement an integration with the existing Machine Mart Omniture tracking solution, meaning that from a visitor initially watching the video, all data and movement of that person can be tracked up to and including product purchase. All videos have been checked and tested for multi-platform compatibility and so are viewable on the largest range of desktop browsers and mobile devices.
As part of Machine Mart's ongoing e-marketing strategy, the new videos are promoted on the retailer's email newsletter which is sent to all existing customers. Again, the email is fully trackable and is enjoying very successful open rates.
The video presentation system, database integration and tracking integration is another bespoke development by Headland.
