October saw the launch of the Headland designed responsive e-commerce website for West Yorkshire Metro (WY Metro), the travel arm of West Yorkshire Combined Authority.
The website represents the initial stages of WY Metro's move into online applications and the fulfilment of travel cards. The customer-facing website integrates back-end system data with real-time bus information and journey planning tools, bus timetables and a customer feedback channel.
At launch the site featured online account opening, the managing of a card on behalf of a dependent, and applications for Under 16 Photocards and 16-18 Photocards. Phase two, featuring the introduction of three further cards, is due for completion in Q4 2016.
