JUNIOR .NET DEVELOPER

Headland is a tight knit digital design team based in Leeds city centre delivering excellent solutions to technical design and build briefs for an enviable client list. With over twenty years’ experience in the industry Headland has a reputation for outstanding solutions and an uncommon level of technical expertise. We are looking to recruit a committed Junior .NET Developer to our team, who is eager to learn, adding to their 2 years of web development experience and wanting contribute fully to the Headland team ethic.

About the role

This role holds a pivotal position in our development process. Growing and progressing new talent has always been a significant aspect of our design and the development team. A strong base of .NET development skills is taken as read, you will be given the opportunity to work on outstanding responsive solutions and learn along the way.

Length of time in the industry is not the deciding factor in appointing the successful candidate, proven skills, a passion for web development, an appetite to learn from senior developers and a team player work ethic are the requirements

Required Skills:

  • 2 years experience of building sites and web site services.
  • Proven C#, MVC and ASP.NET skills
  • Proven Microsoft SQL Server skills including database design and stored procedure development.
  • CSS, responsive HTML and JavaScript libraries e.g. jQuery
  • Proficient in the use of Visual Studio as a development tool
  • Experience of working with source controlled code base such as svn or git.
  • Knowledge of optimizing web pages, CSS and images for the web with all platforms and browsers.
  • Skills in .NET CMS development, Umbraco would be a serious advantage.
  • Integrate with SOAP and/or Restful API's (Json/XML)
  • Understanding of eCommerce with payment gateways and security.

 

Personal skills:

  • Ability to think creatively and suggest alternative web application solutions.
  • The commitment to complete projects on a timely basis with minimal supervision.
  • Team player mindset
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong understanding of the web in general, internet services and databases.
