Responsive website for fun after-school clubs
Spaghetti Maths aim to get children to show more interest and motivation in maths by participating in their after-school clubs. Headland was briefed to design and build the start up enterprise’s new responsive website with two distinct audiences: the parents of primary aged children, and enticing new training staff interested in taking up a Spaghetti Maths franchise.
Spaghetti Maths recognised the importance of having a responsive website from the beginning of the assignment. The website is delivered using the Umbraco content management system and fits perfectly on any screen, by utilising responsive HTML5 templates. The site is broken down into two distinct websites; a promotional and booking website for parents, and a separate but consistent website for franchisee information. The two sites together feature online course booking, advanced payment gateway integration, course and financial reporting modules and a secure franchisee management area.
We designed the website using a bright and attractive colour palette to position Spaghetti Maths and their ethos of learning as fun and enjoyable. Bold typography and interactive animations are used throughout the site to communicate a clear and friendly message to the target audience.
Beyond the design and build of a transactional website supporting a new online business, it is really rewarding to work on a project helping young people to engage with a subject as important to their futures as maths.
